I got a bit of the homemade marshmallow bug too, since the Black Apple made it seem like such a good idea. And you know what, it was a good idea. A sticky, syrupy, vanilla-scented good idea.
I really think homemade marshmallows are the latest baking trend. I never even knew there were such things as baking trends but I've been wanting to make some spiced marshmallows myself lately too.
